Do’s and don’ts of growing culture
We are currently running interviews. If you've worked or founded a startup before founding your current startup, please schedule one here to get started
We’re making a research podcast gathering repeat founders' experiences with growing their startup culture. You can participate in the podcast or get notified of its release by using the buttons below.
How it works
You can sign up to get interviewed. We’ll ask you questions go deep into your past experiences with startup culture and what you’ve learned from them, using proven coaching methodologies. After that, we’ll send you a recording of the discussion and will notify you when the results are ready, most likely as a podcast.
What are you trying to solve?
Our previous customer discovery interviews highlighted how most startups suffer from the urgency of growth. The founders doing well with regards to culture were generally the ones with past experiences around startup culture and processes.
That means there are repeatable mistakes around culture that new founders keep making. We want to gather and model enough of these mistakes so they’re made less.
How is that innovative?
Most of the knowledge around building effective culture is subject to survivorship bias, which means that, instead of answering the question “What makes a startup successful?”, we’re often asking the question “What makes an already successful startup successful?”.
In this research, we focus on startup failures. We want to hear what affected your startup adversely in some way, and what you’re doing to prevent that now.
What do I get from participating?
On top of your interview recordings, we will provide a benchmark to you if you participate, showing your strengths and weaknesses in comparison to other interviewees.
How will you protect my privacy?
Undefine will not share any raw interview data with anyone external, and you will have access to the recording. You can tag any passage you’d rather keep private, and we won’t include its audio in the final podcast.
